Eddie Nas the well-known and popular Bradford and Leeds DJ with a career spanning 20 years, decided at the age of 50, that with the dwindling nightclub scene, it was time to re-train and take on a new vocation. After cutting his sons hair, he and Brogan had a Eureka moment and decided that was where his future lied.

So in 2012 he stepped upon the daunting road of re-training with Caderdale College Halifax. He spent 2 years there and hit the heights of a level 3 barbering NVQ with High Honors. Not just happy with that he scooped 3 prestigous awards in 2013 and 2014 for Tutors Pick, most promising pupil and a National Hairdressers Federation, regional award for excellence.

So it comes as absolutely no surprise that Eddie decided it was time to open his own business and on the 1st March 2015 opened 'Fine and Dandy' Gentleman's Grooming Lounge. The shop was officially opened by well-known Bradford celebrity/actor Danny Cunningham, made famous by Soldier Soldier, Casualty and Coronation Street. This event was also attended by Eddies proud tutors from Calderdale College, Halifax.

Eddie says... "I just want everyone to know, that it's never too late to re-train in life. Just always pick something that genuinely interests you and put 100% into it."

Eddie provides Hair-cuts, Re-styles, Shampoo/Blow dry, Cut-throat shaves, Beard trim/Shaping, as well as a line of his own branded products that are on sale in his shop.

This shop is extra special in one more way. Eddie has been a carer for his disabled daughter and therefore understands the importance of being a disabled friendly business. He has created a cutting station to provide a serves for wheelchair customers.

So the sky is the limit for Eddie and his new enterprise and he has shown that re-training at any age is exciting!"
